It's my birthday!!!

Today is my 21st birthday!!!

Yes I’m getting old…

But old always means wise right?

So here are 21 lessons I wish I knew when I was younger.

1- No amount of regret will change the past and no amount of anxiety will change the future. Be present and enjoy each moment as it comes.

2- Comfort is your enemy not your friend. It’s impossible to grow and be comfortable at the same time.

3- Always have a plan. If you fail to plan then plan to fail.

4- Always live as if God is watching… because he is.

5- Smiling costs you nothing but can change someone else’s day.

6- It’s impossible to grow a tree without planting a seed first. Plant the seeds that you want your future self to reap.

7- Failing is a choice not a circumstance. Learn from your mistakes and you didn’t truly fail… you grew.

8- Instant gratification = instant regret

9- The biggest growth hack is learning to say no. Maximise your actions and minimise your distractions.

10- The more you leave your comfort zone, the faster you grow.

11- Turn your mess into your message. You never know how it could help someone else.

12- God is always working even when you can’t see how. Trust him and his timing.

13- You’re only delusional until you make it. 

14- If you “fit in” with your actions you will “fit in” with your outcome. If you don’t want the outcome that everyone else gets don’t do what everyone does. Live a different lifestyle.

15- Not everyone is going to like you. Most people don’t even like themselves. Who cares what they think? 

16- No one will ever hate on you for doing worse than them… all hate comes from below.

17- Surround yourself with like minded people and elevate together. You don’t need 100s of friends. Just a small circle of winners.

18- Your actions today will be the story that you tell tomorrow.

19- To be exceptional you have to be an exception. To be extraordinary you have to be willing to do extra.

20- Tears of joy are made from sweat.

21- Patience creates dreams and complacency kills them.
