How social media will destroy your life! (If you let it)
This habit ruined my life for many years. And it is destroying a whole generation of young people. This habit needs to be killed before it kills us:
I used to live a double life.
One was my reality.
And the other was on social media.
I invested so much time and energy in trying to look like I had everything together in my life.
Instead of investing my time and energy into actually getting my life together.
This was all to deceive people into thinking I was someone I was not.
And this destroyed my self-confidence and even made me question who I really was.
I want to start by saying: being on social media is not a bad thing.
In fact, I’m building my future on social media!
It is one of the greatest things we all have access to.
But ONLY if we use it correctly.
There are so many ways social media can benefit our lives.
We can:
Watch educational content (I’ve learned more from social media than I have at University.)
Start a business
Build a network of like-minded people
But there is one habit that ruined my life for many years.
And it is destroying a whole generation of young people.
This habit needs to be killed before it kills us:
Mindlessly scrolling.
You are wasting your life away doing this.
You are destroying your dopamine baseline.
Every time I do this, I feel all of the energy leaving my body.
All my drive.
All my motivation.
And that is time that you can’t get back.
This is the cycle most people go through:

You’re not bored, you’re lazy!
You mindlessly scroll on social media to try to escape your reality.
But it is making your reality worse.
Your reality won’t change until you face it.
So I urge each of you to:
Trade some of your entertaining content for educational content.
Trade mindless scrolling for seeking with intention
Trade boredom for building.
Let me leave you with this question.
If you lived every day as you lived yesterday, where will you be in 5 years time?
If the thought of that place doesn’t excite you,
You need to face your reality.
Change your habits.
Fix your lifestyle.
Because remember:
Success isn’t a destination; it’s a lifestyle.
Make this a life changing week.
May God bless each of you.
